Conference 2020

It's a Biden/Harris win in the US election and a very different political landscape on the horizon from January 2021. With that in mind,  and in a change from our usual format, we close our 2020 conference with a panel of experts in trade and international relations who will discuss what impact the US election will have on EU-US-Asia trade relations.

We are delighted to welcome Anna Ashton (Senior Director for Government Affairs, US-China Business Council), Rüdiger Bachmann (Professor of Economics, University of Notre Dame), Lisandra Flach (Director of the ifo Institute Center for International Economics) and Marie Kasperek (Executive Director, Institute of International Economic Law, Georgetown Law; Non Resident Senior Fellow, Atlantic Council) to our closing panel, which will be moderated by our host, Jennifer Baker.

We’re very disappointed not to be joining our friends and hosts at the Bavarian Representation in Brussels for our 2020 annual conference. However, moving our conference online does bring us the benefit of being able to welcome our conference guests live from the US. We are particualrly grateful to the panelists for joining us on Thanksgiving Day - we hope we can get their holiday off to a great start.
